XFX card from Scan.co.uk

Scan.co.uk is listing an XFX 8800 GT 256MB card on its site, and the cards will aparently be in stock before the end of the month, altough the site lists it as being available today. The card is clocked at 600MHz for the core and 1,400MHz for the memory, although no Shader speeds are listed.

The big news here is the low retail price, as the card is selling for £117.36 inc VAT, which is by far the lowest  list price we've seen for a GeForce 8800 GT. Overclockers UK are listing a similar card under their own brand for £146.86, again only available for pre-order.

The OcUK card does have faster memory at 1,800MHz, but we're not sure if it's worth the £39 price premium over the XFX card. However, Scan is also listing the XXX Alpha Dog Edition of the XFX's 256MB 8800 GT and this has an overclocked GPU at 670MHz and much higher memory speed at 1,950MHz.

This card is still cheaper than the OcUK card, as it's listed on Scan for £129.24 inc VAT which looks like a pretty good deal to us. There's no estimated arrival date on this card, though.

You can find the inexpensively priced XFX card here, the XXX Alpha Dog edition here and the OcUK one here
